About Us

Custom Metal Fab, Inc. (CMF) was founded by Mike Taylor in 1984 to design and fabricate customized food service systems. A master craftsman, Mike began to assemble the finest available talent to grow the company. Demand for the metallurgical expertise of our craftsmen and a reputation for building quality products coupled with our industry leading customer service has led CMF into adjacent markets. These markets include high tech, architectural, manufacturing, electronics, automotive, agricultural, and marine as well as municipalities. CMF is located in a 20,000 square foot facility on a 2-1/2 acre site in Scappoose, Oregon, just 15 minutes west of Portland. CMF purchased a 4000 watt Amada laser in 2007. This state of the art laser is able to process 3/4 mild steel, 5/8 stainless steel, and 3/8 aluminum a 60 wide table.
